Registration Form
See link to download a current registration form on the home page.
Evaluations
Every player must attend an evaluation as part of the registration process. The dates, times, and location are listed on the home page.
Note: the evaluations are NOT tryouts. There is no experience necessary to participate in this league. Players' skill levels are assessed, but EVERY child is placed on a team.
Coaching
Coaches are always needed, both head & assistant. Training is provided. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate this on your child's form, or contact Ken directly.
"It's not the shoes, it's the souls!"
In Upward Basketball, your children are much more important to us than the shoes they wear or the game they play. We certainly aim to teach them the fundamentals of the sport, broaden their knowledge base, and increas their skill level. But even better, we desire to build their self-esteem, and encourage their growth: physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. At Kingdom Sports & Rec, WE CARE. We care about the well-being of your children...much more than we care about winning or losing a game.

Every player must attend an evaluation (see dates, times, & location on the home page). Game/practice schedules and venues are constantly being updated. In seasons past, practices and games have been held at Rocky Knoll School, New Life Community Church, and North Middle School. Practices are held on a weeknight at a rate of once per week for an hour, anywhere between 5:30 & 7:30pm, typically on Mondays or Tuesdays. They begin in early January. You can indicate which practice night is not good for you on the registration form. Games begin in late January, and take place each Saturday thereafter for 8 weeks. Awards Night brings the season to a close, usually in late March. Other pertinent information regarding registration and evaluations is listed on the form provided for each respective season. Otherwise, contact Ken Frauenfelder, Kingdom Sports & Rec Pastor, at 304-262-6522, x114 (or opt. #4) or kjfrauenfelder@nlccwv.org . It would be our honor to have your child(ren) a part of Upward Basketball this season. And remember, in Upward Basketball EVERY CHILD IS A WINNER!
