UPWARD CHEERLEADING
Offered with UPWARD FLAG FOOTBALL (registration in July/August) & UPWARD BASKETBALL (registration in November/December)
• For girls, ages 5 - 14
Upward Cheerleading promotes character and self-esteem in every child by providing:
• Equal opportunity for improvement
• A one-hour practice each week of the season
• Cheer time for one hour on game day
The one-time registration fee of $67 covers an 8-game season, as well as the following:
• Top
• Skort
• Poms
• Megaphone
• Uniform matching hair ribbon
• Car Magnet
• Individual Awards after each practice and game
• End-of-season Award
• End-of-season Awards Night activities
• The cheer mock turtleneck is not covered, but optional at $12
Every cheerleader must attend a registration/orientation date at the start of each season. Practices occur in conjunction with Upward Flag Football or Basketball respectively. They begin in late August with Upward Flag Football, and late January with Upward Basketball. They are usually held on a weeknight at a rate of once per week for an hour, anywhere between 5:30 & 7:30pm, and typically on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. You can indicate which practice night is NOT good for you on your registration form. Games take place on Saturdays for 8 weeks (starting in mid-September for Flag Football, and late January for Basketball). Other pertinent information regarding registration and orientation is listed on the form associated with each season (see link on home page during promotion phase to download a form). Otherwise, contact Ken Frauenfelder, Kingdom Sports & Rec Pastor (info also on home page). It would be our honor to have your child(ren) a part of Upward Cheerleading next season. And remember, in Upward Cheerleading, EVERY CHILD IS A WINNER!

ORIENTATION
Every cheerleader must attend one of the available registration/orientation dates that are usually listed in the column to your left, or on the home page of this site during the promotion phase of the season.
Note: the cheerleaders are not evaluated, nor do they need to "try out". EVERY cheerleader is placed on a squad. There is no experience necessary to participate in Upward Cheerleading.
COACHING
Coaches are always needed, both head & assistant. Training is provided. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate this on your child's form, or contact Ken directly.
