UPWARD SOCCER
Offered in Spring Season (registration in February/March).
• For boys & girls, ages 4 - 14
• Coed unless number of participants warrants separating leagues
• Divisions are generally dispersed in 2-year or 2-grade increments (i.e. 1st & 2nd grades, 3rd & 4th, etc.)
Upward Soccer promotes character and self-esteem in every child by providing:
• An evaluation process to ensure equal opportunity for improvement
• Equal playing time for every player
• A one-hour practice and game each week of the season
• Individual awards after each practice and game
The one-time registration fee of $68 covers an 8-game season, as well as the following:
• Reversible Jersey
• Socks
• Parent's Guide to Upward Soccer
• Scripture Learning Tool
• Car Magnet
• Water Bottle
• End of season award
• End of season Awards Night activities
• Shorts are not covered, but are optional at $11
Note: shin guards and cleats are not included, but recommended
Every player must attend an evaluation (late March, early April) as part of the registration process. Evaluation dates, times, and location are always listed on the home page prior to each season. Practices usually occur on a weeknight (Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays) at a rate of once per week, typically for an hour, anywhere between 5:30 & 7:30pm. You can indicate which night is NOT good for you on the registration form. Season begins in late March. Awards Night brings the season to a close in late June. Refer to the registration form (link provided on home page during promotion phase) for more pertinent information. Otherwise, contact Ken Frauenfelder, Kingdom Sports & Rec Pastor (info also on home page). It would be our honor to have your child(ren) a part of Upward Soccer next season. And remember, in Upward Soccer, EVERY CHILD IS A WINNER!

EVALUATIONS
Every player must attend an evaluation as part of the registration process. The dates, times, and location will be listed on the home page during promotion phase of season.
Note: the evaluations are NOT tryouts. There is no experience necessary to participate in this league. Players' skill levels are assessed, but EVERY child is placed on a team.
COACHING
Coaches are always needed, both head & assistant. Training is provided. If you are interested in coaching, please indicate this on your child's form, or contact Ken directly.

WHY UPWARD SOCCER?
In an age where staggering statistics reflect our nation's propensity to be inactive and overweight, Upward Soccer provides an ideal environment where your children can avoid becoming such a statistic. If nothing else, they will have an opportunity to exercise their hearts while running up and down a field, chasing a little, checkered ball.
